why us?
We have over 4 decades of experience in student travel, having personally led educational trips as tour managers and tour guides, across Europe and beyond. We also have a background in education with our founder, Lucy, being a former high school teacher of History, Spanish, Italian and French. We therefore understand the challenges of travel both from the school perspective and from having been on the road dealing with all the logistics, delivering commentary and suggesting fun and interesting ways to engage students.
Our core principles
Our trips are built around four core principles.
Learning should be fun
We believe the best learning happens when you are fully immersed. That might mean discovering the history of the Margherita pizza by making one yourself. Learning about frescoes by creating your own in one of Florence’s most prestigious palaces. Making sushi and Matcha tea in Japan while understanding the importance of ritual and tradition. Or creating chocolate in one of Europe’s renowned ateliers. You learn without even realising it while being completely engaged in the culture of the country you are visiting.
Giving something back
Travel is also about what you have to offer. This could involve helping to care for sea turtles in Bali, Sri Lanka or Costa Rica. Teaching English to kindergarten children in Vietnam. Or supporting the development of vital resources in villages across South East Asia. These experiences allow students to contribute in meaningful ways while gaining a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Sport and connection
For sports tours, students have the opportunity to compete against new teams and challenge their own abilities. Just as importantly, they build friendships with students from other cultures, socialise off the pitch, and form bonds that often last a lifetime.
Safety first, always
We understand that overseas travel can feel daunting for teachers and parents. With many years of experience in student travel, safety is at the heart of everything we do. All hotels, transportation, activities and every aspect of the trip is carefully vetted and every trip is supported by our outstanding tour managers from start to finish. They are your guide, organiser, storyteller, and often the person you will wonder how you managed without.
